Chennai, March 27, 2007 - California Software Company Limited (Calsoft) has partnered with U-Eyes, China to enhance one of its products, the electronic visor (sun-shield) of a car, by incorporating a flash player in the device.
"Realizing that our Smart Mobile TV required a company with very high software innovative capabilities and cutting edge technology, California Software was our option. This partnership has enabled us to create a new a unique medium for entertainment", said Mr. Edmund Wu, CEO of U-Eyes Media Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd.
This software enables the visor in vehicles to serve a dual role, to shield the sunrays, besides providing entertainment. While passengers of the cab can watch a film or a music video, there is room for useful information in the form of tailor made advertisements. This not only cheers up the traveler but also keeps him/her informed of any special offers or events. The best part is that the content can be updated or changed, depending on the requirement.
Calsoft’s relationship with Adobe Systems Inc. allows it to license, distribute, and integrate the Adobe Flash Player SDK and Adobe Flash Lite into embedded and handheld devices in India, South Asia and U.S. markets.
Mr. S. Sam Santhosh, Managing Director & CEO, California Software Co Ltd said, "California Software is always looking for niche markets and this software has enabled us to expand and use our technology capabilities to put us on the map in software innovation."
U-Eyes plans to distribute the "Smart Mobile TV" visors to cabs plying in China. It also has plans to offer some incentives to the cab drivers to keep their interest levels high and ensure that they turn it on the moment a passenger steps in and the meter is turned on. Another interesting avenue of implementing this is in the golf carts. Usually the journey in a golf cart through golf course is nothing more than to reach a certain place and some entertainment can break the monotony for sure. The company has already sold the concept to Palm Springs Golf Club in USA and Sand River Golf Club in China.
Content will play a critical role in order to make the venture not only viable but exciting too. U-Eyes has already tied-up with an advertising agency for the content. The company will host a server for the Ad Agency and the content will up updated through the CDMA network of China Unicorn, a mobile phone career. The revenue will be generated through the advertising content on the visor and would be shared between the Ad Agency, U-Eyes and China Unicorn.
