Steel major JSW Steel Limited has reported its consolidated crude steel production figures for the month of July 2026, reaching 24.02 lakh tonnes-a 3% year-on-year (YoY) increase compared to 23.27 lakh tonnes achieved in July 2025.
Segment-Wise Production Breakdown
Indian Operations: Total production from domestic units rose 4% YoY to 23.39 lakh tonnes in July 2026, compared to 22.55 lakh tonnes recorded in July 2025.
JSW Steel USA - Ohio: Crude steel output at the US facility came in at 0.63 lakh tonnes in July 2026, registering a 13% decline compared to 0.72 lakh tonnes produced in the corresponding prior-year period.
Consolidated Total: Aggregated output across domestic and global operations stood at 24.02 lakh tonnes for the month, against 23.27 lakh tonnes in July 2025.
Operational Highlights & Adjustments
Capacity Utilization: Indian operations maintained a healthy capacity utilization rate of 87% for the month of July 2026.
Blast Furnace Restart: Blast Furnace 3 (BF3) at the flagship Vijayanagar plant is ramping up operational efficiency following its restart on June 23, 2026, and is currently operating at above 80% of its rated capacity.
Comparable Prior-Year Base: Production figures for July 2025 have been adjusted downward for like-to-like comparison following the slump-sale transfer of Bhushan Power and Steel Limited's (BPSL) steel undertaking to joint venture entity JSW-JFE Steel Limited in March 2026.
