Prime Trigen Wealth: Strategic Scaling & Performance Update
The company's wealth management subsidiary, Prime Trigen Wealth, continues its rapid expansion to build a recurring, annuity-style revenue stream to complement the lumpy nature of investment banking fees:
PBT Impact: Prime Trigen Wealth reported a PBT loss of INR 1,082 lakhs for Q1 FY27 (vs. a loss of INR 441 lakhs in Q1 FY26), reflecting upfront operational investments and regulatory revenue deferrals.
Regulatory Revenue Deferral: Due to regulatory changes governing trail income recognition, revenues have been deferred by a year. However, all associated setup and operational expenses have been fully recognized upfront. Fixed setup and expansion expenses are estimated at approximately INR 60 crore for FY27.
AUM / AUA Milestone: Combined Assets Under Management and Advice (AUM/AUA) crossed INR 5,000 crore as of June 30, 2026. Income generation from this asset base is expected to commence from Q2/Q3 FY27.
Operational Scale: Trigen Wealth has onboarded 1,400+ clients and 750+ families, operating across 14 locations with over 105 employees.
Break-Even Target: Management envisages the wealth management vertical to achieve operational break-even within 5 to 6 quarters.
