Fire accident at The Ugar Sugar Works Ltd's factory

A fire incident took place in The Ugar Sugar Works Ltd's factory situated at Ugar Khurd, Belgaum yesterday afternoon around 3:30 P.M. The fire was brought under control within two to three hours of the incident. No injuries have been taken place due to fire.

There is no major loss due to fire. The crushing will start within 24 hours after thorough inspection. The company has already intimated the concerned departments and other statutory authorities about the fire accident.

Shares of The Ugar Sugar Works Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 67.80 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 64.90. The total number of shares traded during the day was 456740 in over 3672 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 68.10 and intraday low of 62.20. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 30019156.00.
