Work affected at Ispat Industries Plant at Dolvi

Ispat Industries Ltd has announced that due to high velocity wind and heavy rains during the last two days, a section of the conveyor belting system of the Company, which transports raw material from the adjoining Dharamtar Port to Company's Plant site at Dolvi near Alibaug, Maharashtra, slipped off and fell on the railway tracks outside the plant site on July 02, 2007.

There has been no loss of life or any injury due to the accident and there is no loss of production.

The Company's Special Task Force, with the help of other Officials of the Company and Senior District Authorities, are clearing out the slippage over the railway track on an emergency basis so that railway movement on the track is not affected. The Company is also taking necessary steps to ensure that the system is restored shortly within a week's time.
