Attendance of Workers at Hindustan Motors plant rises steadily

With reference to the earlier announcement dated March 13, 2007, Hindustan Motors Ltd has announced that the attendance in the plant has steadily risen from about 1800 on the 13th to over 2300 as of March 21, 2007. This is despite picketing, sloganeering & intimidation by a small section of the work force.

The Company expect the positive trend of more and more workers reporting for duty to be maintained and normalcy be restored in the coming days.

Law and Order is being maintained in and around the plant with the help of Civil Administration and relevant authorities.
