Eicher Motors Limited's motorcycle division, Royal Enfield, has reported a strong sales performance for July 2026, registering total dispatches of 1,18,232 units. This represents a 34% year-on-year (YoY) growth compared to 88,045 units sold in July 2025.
The growth trajectory was led primarily by the brand's core 350cc offerings and strong domestic demand, accompanied by strategic footprint expansion for its newly introduced urban electric vehicle line, Flying Flea.

Domestic Market Growth: Domestic dispatches reached 1,05,317 units in July 2026, marking a 38% YoY increase over 76,254 units sold in the corresponding period last year.
International Business: Export dispatches rose 10% YoY to 12,915 units compared to 11,791 units shipped in July 2025.
Engine Displacement Categories:
Up to 350cc & EVs: Models with engine capacities up to 350cc along with electric vehicles surged 38% YoY to 1,05,048 units (vs. 76,047 units in July 2025).
Exceeding 350cc: Higher-displacement models generated 13,184 units, achieving a 10% YoY increase from 11,998 units sold in July 2025.
Year-To-Date (YTD) Performance (April - July 2026)
Total YTD Dispatches: Cumulative sales for the April-July period of FY 2026-27 reached 4,48,659 units, delivering a 27% YoY growth compared to 3,53,573 units in FY 2025-26.
Domestic Cumulative: Domestic sales expanded 33% YoY to 4,06,491 units (up from 3,05,033 units).
Exports Cumulative: International dispatches recorded a 13% YoY contraction at 42,168 units (compared to 48,540 units in the prior-year period).
Strategic, Infrastructure & Product Updates
1. Strategic Greenfield Investment
To support long-term capacity requirements and future demand readiness, Eicher Motors announced a capital expenditure of ₹1,225 crore for Phase I of a new greenfield manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh. Targeted for completion during FY 2029-30, the new plant will feature an ultimate capacity of up to 4.5 lakh motorcycles per year.
2. Electric Mobility Network Expansion
Following the initial launch of its City+ electric mobility brand, Flying Flea, in Jayanagar, Royal Enfield is rolling out 10 new retail touchpoints across Bengaluru. The expansion aims to serve growing interest in its flagship electric motorcycle, the Flying Flea C6, by establishing accessible sales and after-sales infrastructure in key urban corridors.
3. Product Enhancements & Limited Editions
2026 Classic 350 Upgrades: The mid-sized motorcycle received functional updates, including an Assist and Slipper Clutch for lighter lever pull and smoother downshifts, alongside an integrated USB Type-C Fast Charging port. The updates retain the model's signature J-series engine and heritage design.
Shotgun 650 x Rough Crafts: Royal Enfield introduced a bespoke collaboration with Taiwanese custom shop Rough Crafts based on the 'Caliber Royale' theme. Capped at 100 units worldwide, the model generated over 9,000 registrations globally, with all 25 units allocated to India selling out in 3 minutes.
4. Community Initiatives
The company concluded the 22nd edition of the Himalayan Odyssey, covering over 4,200 kilometers across three formats (Original, Xplore, and Nubra). The expedition brought together riders from eight countries and integrated community-driven environmental efforts under its #LeaveEveryPlaceBetter campaign.
