Carborundum Universal allots 79136 Shares under ESOP Scheme

On February 23, 2011, Carborundum Universal Ltd has allotted 79,136 shares of Rs. 2/- each arising out of the exercise of stock options granted to four employees under the Employees Stock Option Scheme 2007. The exercise price in respect of these options was Rs. 183.60/- per share.

With this allotment the number of equity shares outstanding is 93,447,368 and the paid-up-capital equity share capital Is Rs. 186,894,736/-

The stock closed the day at Rs.246.50, up by Rs.4.50 or 1.86%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.247 and low of Rs.242.

The total traded quantity was 1361 compared to 2 week average of 12512.
