Wipro allots 180781 Shares

Wipro Ltd has announced that the Administrative Committee of Company's Board of Directors vide circular resolution dated May 25, 2010 resolved to issue and allot 144661 equity shares of Rs.2/- each pursuant to exercise of the stock options by the eligible employees under Restricted Stock Unit Plan 2004 and Restricted Stock Unit Plan 2005.

The Administrative Committee of Company's Board of Directors vide circular resolution dated May 25, 2010 allotted 36120 equity shares of par value of Rs.2/- to JP Morgan Chase Bank, the Company's depository as underlying shares in respect of ADRs to be issued and allocated to the purchasers, pursuant to the exercise of the stock options granted to the employees under the Company's ADS Restricted Stock Unit Plan 2004.

The stock closed the day at Rs.649.55, up by Rs.15.75 or 2.49%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.652.60 and low of Rs.637.

The total traded quantity was 79136 compared to 2 week average of 108066.
