NALCO announces Q3 results, net profit after tax at Rs.572.6 crores

National Aluminium Company Ltd (NALCO) has announced the following Unaudited results for the quarter ended December 31, 2006:

The Company has posted a net profit after tax of Rs 5726.00 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2006 as compared to Rs 3930.30 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2005. Total Income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 13793.60 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2005 to Rs 15464.00 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2006.

The Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on January 22, 2007 has approved payment of 35% interim dividend on the paid up equity share capital for the financial year 2006-07.

Further the Company has informed that, February 07, 2007 has been fixed as the Record Date for the purpose of payment of interim dividend.
