Veritas (India) allots 425000 warrants

Veritas (India) Ltd has announced that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on December 26, 2009, has pursuant to the shareholders approval obtained at the Extra-Ordinary General Meeting of the Company held on December 14, 2009 by way of Special Resolution, allotted 4,25,000 Warrants Convertible into equal number of Equity Shares of Rs. 10/- each within 18 months from the date of allotment of the warrants at the price of Rs. 1250/- per Equity Share (Face Value Rs. 10/- and premium of Rs. 1240/- per share) on Preferential basis to the Promoter Group Company and Foreign Corporate Bodies.

M/s. Groupe Veritas Ltd (Promoter) - 25,000 warrants, M/s. Aventia Global Ltd (Non-Promoter Foreign Corporate Body) - 1,00,000 warrants and M/s. Onix Assets Ltd (Non-Promoter Foreign Corporate Body) - 3,00,000 warrants.
