L&T allots 1379768 Shares

Larsen & Toubro Ltd (L&T) has announced that the Company has allotted 13,79,768 (Thirteen Lakh Seventy Nine Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty Eight Only) shares on August 17, 2009 to those grantees who had exercised their options under the Company's Employee Stock Ownership / Option Schemes.

The said shares will rank pari-passu with the existing shares of the Company in all respect.

The stock closed the day at Rs.1411.90, down by Rs.74.30 or 5%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.1470 and low of Rs.1401.

The total traded quantity was 389967 compared to 2 week average of 432014.
