Asian Paints completes sale of shares

With reference to the earlier announcement dated June 12, 2006 regarding Berger International Ltd (BIL), an Indirect subsidiary of the Company, executing a conditional Stock purchase Agreement relating to the sale of 427,000 shares (representing the entire 30% share capital held by BIL), in the capital stock of Dutch Boy Philippines Inc, Asian Paints Ltd has announced that the said sale of shares has been completed on November 28, 2006.

With the disposal of the above shares, Dutch Boy Philippines, Inc., has ceased to be an associated Company of BIL.
