Sigma Advanced Systems has secured fresh orders worth about ₹100 crore from the Ministry of Defence and associated defence PSUs.
The wins underline continued customer reliance on the company for defence electronics and other mission-critical systems where qualification cycles are long and reliability standards remain stringent.
The contracts relate to ongoing strategic programmes across missile systems, naval platforms, and airborne applications, under which Sigma will supply built-to-spec systems, control electronics, and actuation solutions.
The scope of work covers Surface-to-Air Missile (SAM) programmes that support nextgeneration air defence platforms, as well as Anti-tank missile programmes involving critical built-to-spec electronics and flight control systems.
Sigma will also contribute to New Generation Anti-radiation missile programmes through precision guidance systems, and to naval weapon systems, where it will provide advanced actuation solutions for underwater platforms.
In addition, the company will support rotary-wing avionics with onboard flight data acquisition systems.
The company will execute these orders for leading defence public sector undertakings and research laboratories, including Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), and the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) establishments.
Commenting on the development, Sunil Kalidindi, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sigma Advanced Systems, said: "These orders demonstrate the continued confidence of India's defence ecosystem in Sigma's engineering, manufacturing capabilities, and ability to deliver complex systems for mission-critical applications. Sigma remains committed to strengthening indigenous defence capability through reliable delivery, technology depth, and sustained programme support."
Orders across these strategic programme areas mark a meaningful step ahead for Sigma Advanced Systems and reinforce its position in the defence and aerospace manufacturing domain. Beyond the immediate business impact, they highlight the company's technical capability and the trust customers place in it to deliver complex, mission-critical work.
With these wins, Sigma continues to widen its presence in high-reliability defence electronics and advanced systems that support India's ongoing modernisation and indigenisation efforts.
For more than three decades, Sigma has been part of indigenous defence programmes, designing and manufacturing avionics, torpedo systems, radar equipment, communication solutions, and embedded electronics for high-reliability use. Its Hyderabad facility brings deep R&D expertise along with design, manufacturing, and environmental testing at a single location, enabling support for long-cycle defence programmes from development to production while contributing to the Make in India effort.
