Bajaj Healthcare Q1 FY27 Results: Net Profit Rises 15.8% YoY to ₹13.70 Crore; Operational Revenue Up 11.3%

Bajaj Healthcare Limited has announced its unaudited financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27). Supported by higher sales across its Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and formulation segments, the company reported an 11.28% year-on-year (YoY) increase in operational revenue alongside a strong recovery in profitability.

Key Financial Highlights (Q1 FY27 vs Q1 FY26)

Revenue from Operations (Continuing Operations): Expanded 11.28% YoY to ₹16,563.17 lakh (₹165.63 crore) compared to ₹14,883.63 lakh in Q1 FY26. Sequentially, operational revenue grew 8.22% QoQ from ₹15,305.75 lakh in Q4 FY26.

Total Income: Advanced 11.17% YoY to ₹16,644.31 lakh (₹166.44 crore) against ₹14,971.40 lakh in Q1 FY26 (up 6.68% QoQ from ₹15,601.37 lakh in Q4 FY26).

Profit Before Tax (PBT - Continuing Operations): Reached ₹1,645.83 lakh (₹16.46 crore), representing a 13.31% YoY growth over ₹1,452.51 lakh in Q1 FY26. On a sequential basis, PBT bounced back into positive territory following an exceptional charge of ₹3,324.66 lakh in Q4 FY26 that resulted in a loss before tax of ₹2,080.88 lakh.

Profit After Tax (PAT - Continuing Operations): Rose 14.12% YoY to ₹1,389.28 lakh (₹13.89 crore) compared to ₹1,217.37 lakh in Q1 FY26.

Loss from Discontinued Operations (After Tax): Stood at -(₹19.48 lakh) compared to a net loss of -(₹34.00 lakh) in Q1 FY26 and -(₹343.78 lakh) in Q4 FY26.

Total Net Profit After Tax (Total Operations): Stood at ₹1,369.80 lakh (₹13.70 crore), marking a 15.75% YoY increase compared to ₹1,183.37 lakh in Q1 FY26. Sequentially, total net profit turned around sharply from a net loss of -(₹2,285.06 lakh) in Q4 FY26.

Total Comprehensive Income: Climbed 15.82% YoY to ₹1,392.25 lakh (₹13.92 crore) compared to ₹1,202.08 lakh in Q1 FY26.

Earnings Per Share (EPS): Basic EPS for total operations (face value ₹5 per share, un-annualised) rose to ₹4.07 (diluted EPS of ₹4.06), compared to ₹3.74 in Q1 FY26 and -(₹7.16) in Q4 FY26.

Expense Analysis (Continuing Operations)

Total expenses for continuing operations rose 10.94% YoY to ₹14,998.48 lakh compared to ₹13,518.89 lakh in Q1 FY26, closely tracking top-line revenue expansion:

Cost of Materials Consumed: Increased 31.06% YoY to ₹9,158.91 lakh compared to ₹6,988.49 lakh in Q1 FY26 (down slightly from ₹9,210.06 lakh in Q4 FY26).

Changes in Inventories: Recorded a negative inventory adjustment of -(₹549.24 lakh) during the quarter compared to ₹1,070.31 lakh in Q1 FY26.

Employee Benefits Expense: Advanced 21.70% YoY to ₹1,747.12 lakh compared to ₹1,435.62 lakh in Q1 FY26.

Finance Costs: Increased 16.56% YoY to ₹609.10 lakh from ₹522.57 lakh in Q1 FY26.

Depreciation & Amortisation Expense: Stood at ₹701.38 lakh compared to ₹563.65 lakh in Q1 FY26 (down from ₹762.87 lakh in Q4 FY26).

Other Expenses: Rose 13.37% YoY to ₹3,331.21 lakh against ₹2,938.25 lakh in Q1 FY26.

Tax & Capital Structure

Tax Expenses (Continuing Operations): Deferred tax charge for the quarter stood at ₹256.55 lakh compared to ₹235.14 lakh in Q1 FY26 (with zero current tax charge in both periods).

Paid-Up Equity Share Capital: Paid-up capital (face value ₹5 per share) stood at ₹1,683.13 lakh (₹16.83 crore) as of June 30, 2026, compared to ₹1,579.16 lakh as of June 30, 2025.

Other Equity: Reserves stood at ₹51,617.10 lakh (₹516.17 crore) as per the audited full-year balance sheet for the period ended March 31, 2026.
