Hero MotoCorp, the world's largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, reported dispatches of 541,159 units in June 2026. The Company continued to witness healthy domestic retail momentum during the month, with VAHAN registrations of 4.66 lakh units re lecting a growth of ~18% over the corresponding period last year.

STRONG MOMENTUM IN Q1 FY'27
Hero MotoCorp carried strong growth momentum through Q1 FY'27 (April - June 2026), dispatching 16.8 lakh units and recording a robust 23% year-on-year growth. This momentum was driven by broad-based demand across its core, premium and scooter segment including ICE and EVs. Domestic retail demand also remained healthy during the quarter with VAHAN registrations reaching 15.3 lakh units and ~9% growth over the same period last year.
VIDA SUSTAINS STRONG RETAIL MOMENTUM
VIDA, Hero MotoCorp's Emerging Mobility business unit, delivered another month of strong retail performance in June 2026 with 21,812 VAHAN registrations. This represents a 185% year-on-year growth alongside a steady 8% month-on-month increase.
VIDA was recently recognized as the Global Most Trusted Brand at the Global Brand & Leadership Conclave at the House of Lords, British Parliament, London - reinforcing its position as one of India's fastest-growing and most trusted electric mobility brands.
DOMESTIC BUSINESS RECORDS HEALTHY SEGMENT-LEVEL PERFORMANCE
The Company's domestic motorcycle and scooter business sustained a healthy positive momentum into June 2026. The growth was primarily driven by the scooter portfolio, which achieved strong double-digit growth, while motorcycle demand remained resilient. Additionally, the recently launched Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 continued to garner encouraging customer response.
June 2026 Dispatch Breakdown
For the month of June 2026, Hero MotoCorp recorded total dispatches of 541,159 units, compared to 553,963 units shipped during June 2025.
Motorcycles & Scooters: While the core motorcycle segment adjusted slightly to 478,701 units during the month from 512,658 units in the previous June, the scooter vertical witnessed an aggressive acceleration. Monthly scooter dispatches surged by 51.2%, jumping to 62,458 units in June 2026 compared to 41,305 units in June 2025.
Geographical Split: Within the monthly totals, domestic dispatches stood at 502,890 units against 525,136 units in the prior-year period. Conversely, the company's export business exhibited excellent momentum, with overseas shipments jumping 32.7% to 38,269 units from 28,827 units in June 2025.
Substantial First-Quarter Cumulative Growth (YTD)
The cumulative wholesale dispatch trajectory for the first quarter (April to June) of the fiscal year 2026-27 highlights a robust, broad-based volume expansion for the manufacturer. Total volume dispatches for the quarter reached 1,677,313 units, registering a stellar 22.7% growth over the 1,367,070 units clocked during the corresponding first quarter of the previous fiscal year.
The cumulative segments performed as follows:
Motorcycles: Total motorcycle dispatches for the first quarter climbed by 16.5%, rising to 1,484,255 units on a year-to-date basis compared to 1,273,911 units by this time last year.
Scooters: The scooter category emerged as a standout growth driver for the quarter, more than doubling its volume footprint. Quarterly scooter dispatches surged by 107.2% to reach 193,058 units, up from 93,159 units in the previous year's first quarter.
Domestic & Export Channels: On a year-to-date basis, cumulative domestic dispatches expanded by 20.7% to touch 1,572,107 units against 1,302,657 units in the prior fiscal year's first quarter. Simultaneously, global exports turned in a powerful performance, accelerating by 63.3% to settle at 105,206 units for the quarter compared to 64,413 units in the corresponding timeline last year.
The Company also launched its first flex-fuel motorcycles in the presence of Hon'ble Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari and Hon'ble Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, underscoring the government's push for cleaner and sustainable mobility solutions.
Adding to the month's achievements, Hero MotoCorp was also named the winner for 'Best Use of AI' category at the 2026 ACKO TOTM Marketing Awards, validating the Company's commitment to leveraging advanced technology-led innovation in its marketing and consumer outreach initiatives.
GLOBAL BUSINESS MAINTAINS ITS UPWARD GROWTH TRAJECTORY
The Company's Global Business maintained its upward growth trajectory in June 2026, dispatching 38,269 units, to register a robust 33% year-on-year growth. Momentum across its international markets remained strong, driven by an expanding premium portfolio, product launches and focused market development initiatives.
Further strengthening its global brand and motosport credentials, Hero MotoCorp celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Hero MotoSports Team Rally by renewing its partnership with Amaury Sport Organization (ASO), organizers of the iconic Dakar Rally. Marking this milestone occasion, the Company also launched the India's Next Dakar Hero program - a first-of-its-kind initiative to champion India's motocross future and signed rising talent Shlok Ghorpade to the MotoSports talent development program.
