NTPC Green Energy Limited Inks MoU with Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Limited

In order to collaborate in development of Renewable Energy Parks/Projects and to facilitate in GOI's efforts towards energy transition, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) and Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Limited (MPPGCL) on 24th February'2025 at Global Investors Summit, 2025 held in Bhopal.

The MoU was exchanged between NGEL and MPPGCL in the august presence of Dr. Mohan Yadav, Hon'ble Chief Minister, Madhya Pradesh, Sh. Gurdeep Singh, CMD(NTPC), Sh. Neeraj Mandloi (IAS), ACS (Energy), Govt. of MP and other dignitaries from NTPC, NGEL, MPPGCL and Energy Department, Govt. of MP.

This MoU envisages to collaborate in the field of Renewable Energy through setting up of Projects comprising of Solar/Wind/Hybrid with or without storage up to 20 GW or more in Madhya Pradesh. MPPGCL and NGEL shall jointly work for the formation of a Joint Venture Company (JVC) to meet the Renewable Generation Obligation (RGO) of Madhya Pradesh Generating Company and Renewable Purchase Obligation (RPO) of Madhya Pradesh DISCOMs.

Shares of NTPC Green Energy Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 98.45 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 105.60. The total number of shares traded during the day was 2417718 in over 33608 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 103.00 and intraday low of 96.20. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 237307291.00.
