Pyramid Technoplast Ltd announces commencement of its Unit IX - Recycling plant

Pyramid Technoplast Limited remains committed to sustainability, transitioning its thermal power operations to a renewable solar power plant with a capacity of approximately 15 MW.

In line with this green initiative, the company is set to commence operations at its Unit IX - Recycling plant form October 4, 2025.

In August 2024, the company announced the acquisition of 4447.80 sq. m of land in Bharuch for its recycling facility. Developed with a capex of ₹8-10 crores, the plant is equipped to recycle 5,000 metric tons of plastic annually, reinforcing the Company's commitment to sustainability, cost efficiency, and supply chain resilience.

Key Highlights:

- 5,000 MT annual recycling capacity to cater to 10-12% of Pyramid's raw material needs, driving meaningful savings and margin enhancement.

- Lower reliance on imports, ensuring greater supply chain resilience and self-sufficiency in polymer sourcing.

- Investment of ₹8-10 crores, with an attractive payback period of 4 years, underscoring capital efficiency.

- Aligned with India's sustainability agenda, the facility will significantly reduce plastic waste and strengthen Pyramid's ESG credentials.

Commenting on the development, Mr. Bijay Kumar Agarwal, MD, Pyramid Technoplast said: "The commencement of our recycling plant marks a strategic leap forward for Pyramid Technoplast. Shares of Pyramid Technoplast Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 162.90 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 161.20. The total number of shares traded during the day was 260 in over 77 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 163.00 and intraday low of 159.20. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 42175.00.
