Fire at Gokak Textiles Limited's solar power plant

On Thursday, January 16, 2025, at approximately 03.30 P.M., fire broke out at the Company's Solar Power Plant, located at Gokak Falls - 591308, Taluka - Gokak, District - Belagavi, Karnataka, India.

Fire was controlled within 3 hours of continuous efforts of fire fighters and no injury or loss to human life has occurred in the incidence.

The Company is currently investigating the root cause of the incident and ascertaining the actual loss caused due to the fire. We will provide an update on our findings in due course.

The company has adequate insurance coverage and have already informed the insurance company about the incident and we have requested a surveyor to assess the situation. Company is taking steps to ensure normal operation at the plant at the earliest. The Company is committed to ensuring the highest safety standards.

Shares of GOKAK TEXTILES LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs. 125.50 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 128.80. The total number of shares traded during the day was 3116 in over 60 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 134.75 and intraday low of 124.55. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 397859.00.
