Shri G V Kiran assumes charge as Chairman cum MD of KIOCL Ltd

KIOCL Ltd. has announced the appointment of Shri Ganti Venkat Kiran as the Chairman cum Managing Director of the company, effective from June 1, 2024. With a rich and illustrious career spanning over 34 years in the steel sector, he brings to the helm a wealth of experience, expertise, and leadership.

Shri GV Kiran holds B Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the esteemed National Institute of Technology, Bhopal and M Tech in Quality Management from BITS Pilani. His academic excellence laid a strong foundation for his professional journey, equipping him with technical knowledge and skills enriched for the industry. In his professional journey, he has held key positions in prominent organizations.

Before joining KIOCL, Shri GV Kiran amassed extensive experience in various key positions across leading organizations in the Steel & Mining sectors. As the Executive Vice-President at BRPL (Stemcor Group) in Odisha, he played a pivotal role in completing the project from inception to commission. Furthermore, he served as the Vice-President at Essar Steel Ltd. (presently Arcelor Mittal Nippon Steel India) and at Pro Minerals Pvt. Ltd (Aditya Birla Group).

Shri G V Kiran joined KIOCL Limited in 2019 as General Manager (Projects & Technical Services). Subsequently, he assumed the role of Director (Production & Projects). His expertise extends to the construction, operations, and maintenance of Pellet Plants and Beneficiation Plants, reflecting his comprehensive understanding of the steel manufacturing ecosystem.

As he embarks on his new role as CMD of KIOCL Limited, Shri GV Kiran's exemplary track record, positions him as a catalyst for the company's continued growth and expansion.

Shares of KIOCL Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 425.50 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 422.35. The total number of shares traded during the day was 35091 in over 1754 trades.
