CESC to consider merger of Spencer Retail Ltd holding company

A meeting of the Board of Directors of CESC Ltd will be held on April 17, 2007 to consider a proposal for merging the holding company of Spencer’s Retail Ltd with the Company with effect from such date and on such terms and conditions as may be decided in due course.

The stock closed the day on Friday at Rs.398.40, down by Rs.2.60 or 0.65%. 141750 shares changed hands at a weighted average price of Rs.400.68 compared to 2 week average of 207723.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.409.50 and low of Rs.388.
