Gulshan Polyols commences commercial production of Liquid Glucose

Gulshan Polyols Ltd, has announced the commencement of commercial production of "Liquid Glucose" at its facilities at Bharuch (Gujarat).

Announcing the above, Dr. C K Jain, Managing Director informed that during last quarter, the Company had completed its project of backward integration to manufacture which is the basic raw material to produce the main product i.e. Sorbitol. The Company has now set up the facilities to produce another related product 'Liquid Glucose' which is also known as 'Glucose or Corn Syrup' and is used to provide maximum flexibility & broad range of applications. It is moderate in sweetness & nutritive value makes it an ideal additive for sweets, confectionary, biscuits, ice creams, jams, jellies, preserves pastries & liqueurs. It is also a valuable ingredient of cough syrups and other vitamin based tonics. Dr. Jain further informed that it had set up a 3 MW captive power plant in September 2006 to meet all its requirement of power.

Dr. Jain informed that the Company has very reputed customers in all the industries in tooth paste, pharma, paints, bakery, cosmetics etc.
