Cairn India to bolster operation teams with new appointments

Cairn India Ltd has announced two significant appointments to bolster both the Exploration and Rajasthan Project teams.

Ian Vann, recently retired as Group Vice President for Exploration and Business Development at BP, has joined the Company as an advisor. Ian who was at the helm of BP's Global exploration team and spent more than 30 years at BP in a variety of roles will work with the exploration team at the Company and also sit on the Rajasthan Project Technical Advisory Board.

David Ginger will take over responsibilities as Director of Exploration at the Company in the coming months. David joined the Company in July 2006 from Amerada Hess where he was latterly their Exploration and Production (E&P) Manager for South East Asia.
