Jet Airways India Ltd has announced that with an objective to cater to the large number of NRIs and the Gujarati community, the Company is pleased to announce the introduction of its new international flight between Ahmedabad and London Heathrow with two flights per week effective April 03, 2007. This will be enhanced to three flights per week from May, 2007.
Ahmedabad will be the fourth city in India which will be linked with London Heathrow by the Company following receipt of regulatory approvals from the Government of India. At present, London Heathrow is served with twice daily flights from Mumbai, once daily from Delhi and six times a week from Amritsar.

The Company's flight will operate from Ahmedabad on Tuesdays and Wednesdays while in the return direction, the flight from London Heathrow to Ahmedabad will be on Tuesdays and Sundays from April 03 to April 30, 2007. Effective May 01, 2007, an additional frequency has been added on this sector, on every Saturday, from Ahmedabad and on every Friday from London Heathrow.
Flight 9W 125 will depart from Ahmedabad at 1410 hours and arrive in London Heathrow at 1905 hours (Local Time). In the return direction, flight 9W 126 will depart London Heathrow at 2235 hours (Local Time) and arrive in Ahmedabad at 1145 hours (local time) the next morning.
As part of its inaugural offer, the Company has introduced a special Economy class inaugural return air fare of Rs 28,000, exclusive of taxes.
The Company will operate the Ahmedabad-London-Ahmedabad flight with an Airbus A330-200 aircraft. The aircraft has been especially configured for international operations with 30 seats in Premiere Class and 196 seats in the Economy Class. This next generation aircraft promises to offer an international experience with a wide choice of in-flight entertainment.
Passengers will also experience a choice of delicious in-flight cuisine ranging from Indian and Continental delicacies to authentic Gujarati cuisine created especially for the Indian palette. This transnational range of cuisine is available on all the Company's flights between India to London.
