Areva T&D equity shareholders approve Scheme of Amalgamation of group companies

Areva T&D India Ltd has announced that the Equity Shareholders of the Company at its court convened meeting held on February 28, 2007, was approved the Scheme of Amalgamation for the merger of AREVA T & D Systems India Ltd, AREVA T & D Instrument Transformers India Pvt Ltd, AREVA T & D Lightning Arresters Pvt Ltd with the Company, with effect from January 01, 2006 ("Appointed Date"), with the requisite majority, subject to the sanction of same by Hon'ble High Court of Delhi at New Delhi, the Hon'ble High Court of Judicature at Madras and the Hon'ble High Court at Calcutta.
