Gillanders Arbuthnot & Company allots 7114115 bonus shares

Gillanders Arbuthnot & Company Ltd has announced that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on September 16, 2010, has issued and allotted 71,14,115 (Seventy one lakhs fourteen thousand one hundred fifteen) fully paid up Ordinary shares of Rs. 10/- each, as Bonus Shares to those members of the Company entitled thereto as on September 15, 2010, being the Record Date fixed for the purpose.

Accordingly, the Issued, Subscribed and Paid-up Share Capital of the Company stands increased to Rs. 23,34,23,460/- (Rupees twenty three crores thirty four lakhs twenty three thousands four hundreds sixty only) divided into 2,13,42,346 Ordinary Shares of Rs. 10/- each and 2,00,000, 8% Cumulative Redeemable Preference Shares of Rs. 100/- each.

The stock closed the day at Rs.113.05, down by Rs.1.50 or 1.31%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.114.75 and low of Rs.111.75.

The total traded quantity was 5996 compared to 2 week average of 26306.
