Aditya Birla Nuvo Q3 net profit at Rs.55.34 million

Aditya Birla Nuvo Ltd has announced the following Unaudited results for the quarter ended December 31, 2006:

The Company has posted a net profit of Rs 527.10 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2006 where as the same was at Rs 512.00 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2005. Total Income (net of excise) is Rs 8831.80 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2006 where as the same was at Rs 7811.80 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2005.

The Consolidated results are as follows:

The Group has posted a net profit (after minority interest) of Rs 553.40 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2006 where as the same was at Rs 550.00 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2005. Total Income (net of excise) is Rs 22972.60 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2006 where as the same was at Rs 13582.50 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2005.

The financial results and segment reporting for the quarter and period then ended December 31, 2005 have been restated to include the results of the erstwhile Indo Gulf Fertilizers Ltd and Birla Global Finance Ltd from the Appointed Date i.e. September 01, 2005. Due to the merger, the results for the nine months period are not comparable with that of the corresponding period. Previous Year's / period's figures are regrouped / rearranged wherever necessary.
