Patni Computer Systems allots 59237 equity shares under Company's Stock Option Plan

Patni Computer Systems Ltd has announced that the Compensation & Remuneration Committee of Directors of the Company vide resolution dated March 12, 2010 has allotted 47,825 equity shares of par value of Rs. 2/- each to certain employees pursuant to the exercise of options granted to them under Company's Stock Option Plan.

The Compensation & Remuneration Committee of Directors of the Company vide resolution dated March 22, 2010 has allotted 11,412 equity shares of par value of Rs. 2/- each to certain employees including 8,252 underlying equity shares of par value of Rs. 2/- each to Bank of New York as a Depository in connection with the issuance of 4,126 American Depositary Shares (ADSs) pursuant to the exercise of ADR Linked options.

The stock was trading at Rs.545.85, up by Rs.14.55 or 2.74%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.548.40 and low of Rs.535.

The total traded quantity was 66004 compared to 2 week average of 41585.
