Champagne Indage acquires 52.63% stake in SIL

Champagne Indage Ltd has announced that the Company has acquired 6,50,000 equity shares of Rs 10/- each at par being 52.63% shareholding in Seabuckthorn Indage Ltd (SIL), thus making SIL as its subsidiary Company w.e.f January 17, 2007.

SEABUCKTHORN is a fruit that grows in the icy heights of Himalayas. SIL plans to venture into Seabuckthorn based products in the fields of Foods & Beverages, cosmetics, Pharmaceuticals in a phased manner. SIL has launched in the first phase, various brands of Seabuckthorn based fruit beverages. Presently, Leh Berry, the Seabuckthorn Fruit Nectar, a premium beverage, is rated as No. 3 brand of the country in the fruit juice category.

This investment in SIL will strength the Company's business activities.
