Emami allots 3510696 Equity Shares in terms of Scheme of Arrangement

Emami Ltd has announced that in terms of Scheme of Arrangement as approved by Hon'ble Calcutta High Court, the Company has allotted 35,10,696 Equity Shares of Rs. 2/- each fully paid up on January 14, 2010 to shareholders of The Zandu Pharmaceutical Works Ltd. (Zandu) whose names appear in the Register of Members of Zandu at the end of working hours on December 23, 2009.

The Emami Stock closed the day at Rs.556.25, up by Rs.17.90 or 3.32%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.560 and low of Rs.530.

The total traded quantity was 48829 compared to 2 week average of 28005.
