During the quarter, Prakash Industries Ltd has achieved Net Sales of Rs. 1032 Crores as against Rs. 1037 Crores in the corresponding quarter of the last financial year. EBITDA for the quarter increased to Rs. 154 Crores as against Rs. 144 Crores resulting in higher EBITDA margin of 14.9% against 13.9% in the corresponding quarter of the last financial year. Profit after Tax for the quarter is Rs. 71 Crores against Rs. 91 Crores in the corresponding quarter of the last financial year as the Company has opted for new tax regime under the Income Tax Act, 2025 w.e.f. 1st April, 2026 and as such tax exemption under section 80-IA of the Income Tax Act is not available to the Company henceforth.
During the quarter, the Company extracted ~ 3.3 lac MT of coal from its Bhaskarpara Coal Mine. The Company is targeting to achieve coal extraction of 1.2 Mn tonnes in the current financial year in accordance with the Environmental Clearance for increase in production capacity from 1.0 MTPA to 1.2 MTPA granted by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, vide its letter dated 11th June 2026.
