NMDC Limited Reports July 2026 Iron Ore Production Growth of 31.39% YoY; YTD Output Reaches 19.16 Million Tonnes

India's largest iron ore producer NMDC Limited (NSE: NMDC | BSE: 526371 | CSE: 24131) has released its provisional operational update for July 2026, recording strong year-on-year expansion in monthly iron ore production across its mining sectors in Chhattisgarh and Karnataka.

Monthly Operational Performance (July 2026 vs. July 2025)

During July 2026, NMDC's total iron ore production expanded significantly, while overall sales dispatches remained broadly stable:

Total Monthly Production: Reached 4.06 million tonnes (MT) in July 2026, climbing 31.39% YoY compared to 3.09 MT produced in July 2025.

Total Monthly Sales: Stood at 3.40 MT in July 2026, relative to 3.46 MT recorded in the corresponding month of the prior year.

Sector-Wise Breakdown for July 2026

Chhattisgarh Sector:

Production: Rose 34.92% YoY to 2.55 MT in July 2026 from 1.89 MT in July 2025.

Sales: Expanded 16.28% YoY to 2.50 MT in July 2026 compared to 2.15 MT in July 2025.

Karnataka Sector:

Production: Increased 25.83% YoY to 1.51 MT in July 2026 from 1.20 MT in July 2025.

Sales: Stood at 0.90 MT in July 2026, against 1.31 MT in July 2025.

Cumulative Year-to-Date (YTD) Performance (Up to July 2026)

On a cumulative basis for FY 2026-27 up to July 2026, NMDC demonstrated sustained growth across both extraction volumes and market dispatches:

Cumulative Production: Surged 26.97% YoY to 19.16 MT up to July 2026, compared to 15.09 MT produced in the matching period of FY 2025-26.

Cumulative Sales: Advanced to 15.15 MT up to July 2026, up from 14.98 MT registered during the corresponding prior-year period.

Sector-Wise Cumulative Highlights

Chhattisgarh Cumulative: Production reached 13.78 MT (vs. 10.08 MT in July 2025) and sales totaled 11.79 MT (vs. 10.29 MT in July 2025).

Karnataka Cumulative: Production reached 5.38 MT (vs. 5.01 MT in July 2025) and sales totaled 3.36 MT (vs. 4.69 MT in July 2025).
