Automaker Maruti Suzuki has released its production volume figures for the month of July 2026, recording a significant increase in overall output across its passenger and commercial vehicle segments compared to July 2025.
The grand total production volume, combining passenger vehicles and light commercial vehicles, scaled to 248,845 units in July 2026, up from 187,073 units.
Passenger Vehicle Production Highlights
Total passenger vehicle production for July 2026 reached 244,445 units, showing strong expansion over the 183,285 units manufactured in July 2025. The breakdown across individual passenger vehicle sub-segments is as follows:
1. Passenger Cars
Total passenger car manufacturing expanded to 127,031 units in July 2026, up from 99,434 units in July 2025. This segment is comprised of two key categories:
Mini Segment (Alto, S-Presso): Production rose to 13,964 units in July 2026, compared to 11,484 units in July 2025.
Compact Segment (Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, WagonR, OEM Model): Output surged to 113,067 units in July 2026, relative to 87,950 units recorded in July 2025.
2. Utility Vehicles
Production in the utility vehicle category-comprising models such as the Brezza, Ertiga, e Vitara, Fronx, Jimny, Victoris, XL6, and OEM Models-climbed significantly to 102,787 units in July 2026, compared to 70,241 units in July 2025.
3. Vans
Production for the Eeco van stood at 14,627 units in July 2026, marking an increase from 13,610 units manufactured in July 2025.
Light Commercial Vehicles
In the light commercial vehicle (LCV) space, production volume for the Super Carry model expanded to 4,400 units in July 2026, compared to 3,788 units logged during the same month in 2025.
