Commenting on the performance, GPT Chairman, Dr Om Tantia, said, "The first quarter of FY27 witnessed stable operational performance despite temporary execution moderation across select projects during April and May due to the West Bengal election period. With workforce availability now fully normalized, project execution has gradually recovered and we remain on track to deliver our planned growth trajectory for the year of 30% revenue growth. Our disciplined focus on execution, cost control and working capital management continued to support stable operating performance during the quarter.
The long-term infrastructure opportunity in our core markets continues to remain highly encouraging. Eastern India has historically remained an underinvested region, and we are witnessing a strong pipeline of opportunities across roads, railways, metro and allied infrastructure, with 19 major projects aggregating over ₹82,000 crore currently under various stages of review and implementation. Given our strong execution credentials and established presence in the region, we believe we are well positioned to participate in these upcoming opportunities.
During the quarter, we also expanded our infrastructure portfolio by entering the Power EPC segment with our first project-a ₹53 crore contract in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, with PGCIL as the principal client. While modest in size, this project marks an important strategic milestone as it establishes our presence in another large and long-term infrastructure segment, creating opportunities to broaden our capabilities and diversify future order inflows.
With a healthy order book, improving execution momentum, continued expansion into adjacent infrastructure segments and a robust project pipeline across our core geographies, we remain confident of sustaining profitable growth and creating long-term value for all our stakeholders."
