Maruti Suzuki July 2026 Sales Surge 33.7% YoY to 241,421 Units; Domestic Sales Touch Historic High of 2 Lakh Units

India's largest passenger vehicle maker Maruti Suzuki India Limited (BSE: 532500 | NSE: MARUTI | ISIN: INE585B01010) released its monthly sales performance figures for July 2026.

Driven by a surge in utility vehicle demand and a sharp rebound in entry-level passenger cars, the automaker achieved total sales of 241,421 units in July 2026-a 33.73% year-on-year (YoY) growth compared to 180,526 units in July 2025. Domestic sales (PV + LCV) crossed the 2-lakh threshold for the first time in company history, reaching an all-time high of 200,123 units.

Segmental Highlights

1. Passenger Cars (Mini & Compact)

Mini Segment: Entry-level models (Alto, S-Presso) experienced a sharp 85.20% YoY jump to 12,634 units in July 2026, compared to 6,822 units in July 2025.

Compact + Mid-Size: Core volume models (Baleno, Swift, Dzire, WagonR, Ignis, Celerio, Ciaz) expanded 37.94% YoY to 90,822 units.

Total passenger car dispatches grew 42.38% YoY to 103,456 units during the month.

2. Utility Vehicles (UV)

Driven by strong demand for models including Brezza, Ertiga, e Vitara, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, Victoris, and XL6, the UV segment surged 49.42% YoY to 78,851 units (vs. 52,773 units in July 2025).

Cumulative UV volume for the April-July FY27 period reached 297,736 units, up 38.71% YoY.

3. Commercial Vehicles, OEM Supplies & Exports

LCV (Super Carry): Recorded a 40.30% YoY rise in monthly sales to 3,920 units.

Sales to Other OEMs: Sales of vehicles supplied to Toyota Kirloskar Motor expanded 36.91% YoY to 11,242 units.

Exports: International shipments saw a slight contraction of -5.32% YoY to 30,056 units for July 2026, though YTD exports remain up 20.26% YoY at 154,792 units.

Shares of Maruti Suzuki India Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 14239.40 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 14188.90. The total number of shares traded during the day was 42703 in over 11377 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 14341.30 and intraday low of 14127.95. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 607689995.00.
