Operations & Top-Line Financial Highlights

Soma Textiles & Industries generated Revenue from Operations of ₹2,839 lakhs for Q1 FY27. This represents a substantial surge compared to ₹205 lakhs reported in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year (Q1 FY26), though lower sequentially than ₹5,082 lakhs recorded in Q4 FY26.

Other income for the quarter stood at ₹18 lakhs (vs. ₹430 lakhs in Q1 FY26 and ₹5 lakhs in Q4 FY26), bringing the Total Income to ₹2,857 lakhs. On a year-on-year basis, total income expanded significantly from ₹695 lakhs in Q1 FY26.

Profitability & Tax Expenses

Both standalone and consolidated figures were identical across all financial parameters for the quarter:

Profit Before Exceptional Items & Tax: Stood at ₹235 lakhs for Q1 FY27, compared to ₹236 lakhs in Q1 FY26 and ₹369 lakhs in Q4 FY26.

Exceptional Items: The company recorded an exceptional gain of ₹41 lakhs during Q1 FY27 (vs. ₹127 lakhs in Q1 FY26 and ₹226 lakhs in Q4 FY26).

Profit Before Tax (PBT): Climbed to ₹276 lakhs, compared to ₹363 lakhs in Q1 FY26 and ₹595 lakhs in Q4 FY26.

Net Profit After Tax (PAT): Recorded at ₹276 lakhs for Q1 FY27 with no tax expenses incurred during the quarter (compared to a PAT of ₹363 lakhs in Q1 FY26 and ₹488 lakhs in Q4 FY26).

Total Comprehensive Income: Stood at ₹276 lakhs for the quarter, matching the net profit for the period.

Expense Breakdown

Total expenses for Q1 FY27 came in at ₹2,622 lakhs, compared to ₹459 lakhs in Q1 FY26 and ₹4,718 lakhs in Q4 FY26. Operational expenses were primarily driven by site execution costs:

Road Work & Site Expenses: Constituted the largest operational expenditure at ₹2,574 lakhs (vs. ₹4,658 lakhs in Q4 FY26 and nil in Q1 FY26).

Employee Benefits Expense: Measured at ₹22 lakhs (vs. ₹169 lakhs in Q1 FY26 and ₹24 lakhs in Q4 FY26).

Finance Costs: Remained minimal at ₹1 lakh (vs. ₹6 lakhs in Q1 FY26).

Depreciation & Amortisation: Stood at ₹2 lakhs (vs. ₹14 lakhs in Q1 FY26 and ₹3 lakhs in Q4 FY26).

Other Expenses: Totaled ₹23 lakhs (vs. ₹69 lakhs in Q1 FY26 and ₹32 lakhs in Q4 FY26).

Share Capital & Earnings Per Share (EPS)

The paid-up equity share capital of Soma Textiles & Industries remained unchanged at ₹3,303 lakhs, consisting of equity shares with a face value of ₹10 each.

Basic Earnings Per Share: Basic EPS for Q1 FY27 stood at ₹0.84 per share (not annualised), compared to ₹1.10 per share in Q1 FY26 and ₹1.48 per share in Q4 FY26.
