Automotive giant Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has recorded a major operational milestone, with total monthly sales crossing the two-lakh unit threshold in June 2026.
Maruti Suzuki clocked total sales of 200,390 units in June 2026, marking an impressive 19.3% increase over the 167,993 units sold in June 2025. This comprehensive total comprises domestic passenger and commercial dispatches, supply agreements with other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and overseas shipments.
Domestic Passenger Vehicle Segment
Total domestic passenger vehicle (PV) sales grew to 147,187 units, up 23.8% from 118,906 units in the previous June.
Passenger Cars (Mini, Compact + Mid-Size): Combined car sales jumped to 75,231 units against 61,619 units last year. Within this, entry-level mini models (Alto, S-Presso) bounced back sharply to 11,416 units from 6,414 units. Core compact and mid-size models (including Baleno, Celerio, Ciaz, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, and WagonR) expanded to 63,815 units compared to 55,205 units in June 2025.
Utility Vehicles: The company's UV portfolio (consisting of the Brezza, Ertiga, e Vitara, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, Victoris, and XL6) posted heavy volume expansion, growing to 61,726 units from 47,947 units in the comparative month last year.
Vans: The Eeco van steadying its market footprint with 10,230 units delivered against 9,340 units in the prior year's period.
Commercial, OEM, and Export Metrics
Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV): Dispatches of the Super Carry commercial vehicle moved up to 2,963 units, expanding on the 2,433 units sold in June 2025.
OEM Supply: Strategic vehicle volumes delivered to other OEMs recorded 7,472 units, contracting from 8,812 units last June.
Export Shipments: International trade volumes registered an upward swing, climbing to 42,768 units in June 2026 compared to 37,842 units in June 2025.
Cumulative First Quarter Highlights (April - June)
The cumulative volume performance for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2026-27 mirrors the monthly momentum, highlighting an accelerated market run. Total progressive sales for the quarter reached 682,724 units, a stellar 29.3% increase over the 527,861 units achieved during the first quarter of the previous fiscal year.
Segment Q1 Cumulative Review
Domestic PV: Total domestic passenger vehicles jumped to 525,228 units in Q1 FY 2026-27 from 393,572 units in Q1 FY 2025-26. The mini car category registered 43,757 units (up from 19,522 units), while the compact/mid-size car bucket surged to 226,029 units (up from 179,077 units).
Utility Segment: Cumulative quarterly UV volumes scaled up to 218,885 units against 161,868 units recorded by this time last year.
Global Exports: Overseas dispatches for the entire first quarter jumped considerably, closing out at 124,736 units against 96,972 units in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
