BHEL receives Limited Notice to Proceed from DVC for 1x800 MW Durgapur - Main plant package

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited has received a Limited Notice to Proceed (LNTP) from Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC), Kolkata, of 1x800 MW Durgapur supercritical thermal power station, for initiating the advance engineering and ordering of critical long lead items under Main plant package for this project.

BHEL emerged as successful bidder in a major tender from DVC for Main plant package (Boiler, Turbine, Generator) of 1x800 MW Durgapur supercritical thermal power station. Company has received a Limited Notice to Proceed (LNTP) on 10th June 2026 (1335 Hrs) for initiating the advance engineering and ordering of critical long lead items under Main plant package for this project. Order for the supply and execution of the Main plant package will be awarded to BHEL by DVC on completion of 10 months from the date of issuance of LNTP.

The order size is over Rs. 90 Cr. excl. GST.

Shares of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 370.60 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 377.00. The total number of shares traded during the day was 458884 in over 7856 trades.
