Petronet LNG Expands Dahej Terminal Capacity to 22.5 MMTPA

Petronet LNG Limited has achieved a major infrastructure milestone with the successful commissioning of additional regasification facilities at its Dahej LNG Terminal in Gujarat. In a regulatory filing, the company confirmed that the expansion, which increases the terminal's nameplate capacity from 17.5 MMTPA to 22.5 MMTPA, was officially commissioned at 23:30 hrs on March 31, 2026.

This 5 MMTPA (Million Metric Tonnes Per Annum) expansion solidifies Dahej's position as one of the largest and most critical LNG receiving terminals in the world. The added capacity is expected to play a vital role in meeting India's growing demand for natural gas across the industrial, power, and city gas distribution sectors.

By completing this expansion on the final day of the 2025-26 financial year, Petronet LNG is well-positioned to scale its operations and enhance energy security for the nation heading into FY27.

Shares of Petronet LNG Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 257.90 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 248.35. The total number of shares traded during the day was 458247 in over 8162 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 263.05 and intraday low of 253.00. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 118761799.00.
