RMC Switchgears Ltd commissions 8.8 MWac of MAHAGENCO's 46 MWac Solar EPC Project in Ahmednagar

RMC Switchgears Limited is pleased to announce the successful commissioning of 8.8 MWac of the 46 MWac Solar EPC Project awarded by the Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (MAHAGENCO) at Shevgaon in Ahmednagar district. The commissioned project corresponds to ₹38.49 crore out of the total project value of ₹153.98 crore and is being executed under a complete turnkey EPC contract.

This commissioning marks a key milestone in the project's execution cycle and reflects RMC's continued commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure on schedule. The balance project work is progressing as per plan, and the Company remains confident of completing the full 46 MWac capacity within this financial year.

Enabling Clean Energy & Empowering Rural Maharashtra

Located in a predominantly rural region, the project is expected to enhance the stability and reliability of power supply for farmers, small businesses, and local households.When fully operational, the plant will support Maharashtra's renewable energy expansion while also improving irrigation reliability, reducing dependence on diesel pumps, and enhancing the quality of life in surrounding villages.

The project represents an important step towards sustainable development in Ahmednagar - providing long-term environmental benefits, supporting agricultural productivity, and strengthening the local energy ecosystem.
