South West Pinnacle becomes accredited prospecting agency to explore its own coal block in Jharkhand

In exercise of powers conferred under Mines and Mineral (Development and Regulation) Act 1957, Ministry of Coal, Government of India vide its notification dated 26th November, 2005 published in Gazette of India on 27th Nov 2025, South West Pinnacle Exploration Limited (Company) has been notified as accredited prospecting agency for carrying out prospecting operations for the exploration of coal and Lignite.

The company will now be able to commence exploration activities at full swing and move ahead for early development of coal block namely Jogeshwar and Khas Jogeshwar situated in the state of Jharkhand, allocated by Ministry of Coal, Government of India.

This notification shall be valid for a period of three years from the date of its publication in the official Gazette or till the expiry or termination of the accreditation granted, whichever is earlier.

The Government has notified QCI- NABT accredited private prospecting agencies to conduct coal and lignite exploration speedly. The impact of it as explained in the press release is summarised below:

- Gives coal block allottees more flexibility & choice;
- Boosts efficiency, competition & tech-driven exploration;
- Supports Atmanirbhar Bharat & strengthens energy security;
- Helps faster operationalization of mines -> greater coal & lignite availability;
- Overall: A future-ready push to accelerate India's coal sector development.

This way the notification shall enable the Company to derive many other exploration focused advantages as well.

The company is now taking steps for mobilisation of rigs and other resources at site to head start the exploration activities followed by GR preparation / approval and mining plan preparation and approval etc etc on fast-track mode. Intimation for initiating prospecting in Jogeshwar & Khas Jogeshwar Coal Block has since been given to the Ministry of Coal, Government of India.

Shares of South West Pinnacle Exploration Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 211.85 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 194.80. The total number of shares traded during the day was 71640 in over 1219 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 214.00 and intraday low of 194.80. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 14931069.00.
