5th Marine Fisheries Census : Strengthening India's Global Seafood Leadership

Kings Infra Ventures Ltd., a leader in sustainable fisheries and seafood exports, welcomes the launch of the 5th Marine Fisheries Census 2025 on 31st October, 2025 - a landmark initiative jointly led by ICAR-Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI), Fisheries Survey of India (FSI), and the Department of Fisheries (DoF) under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, with support from the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY).

Scheduled for November-December 2025, the census will digitally map over 1.2 million fisher households across India's 3,500+ coastal villages using geo-tagged mobile applications, AI-enabled analytics, and satellite data integration. The initiative aims to empower fishing communities, improve coastal livelihoods, and strengthen environmental sustainability - supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of the Blue Economy to be one of the strong pillars of Atmanirbhar and Viksit Bharat.

The findings from MFC 2025 are expected to shape national strategies for marine resource management and livelihood enhancement. By integrating scientific data with local insights, the census will support sustainable fishing practices, infrastructure development, market forecasting, disease prevention and welfare schemes for coastal communities, strengthening India's blue economy framework.

Shares of Kings Infra Ventures Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 155.00 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 157.80. The total number of shares traded during the day was 4546 in over 86 trades.
