Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd successfully conducted the Ahmedabad edition of its nationwide outreach initiative, 'Bioyug on Wheels'. This dynamic program aimed to bring the vision of a circular economy to life through interactive exhibitions, live demonstrations, and insightful discussions that highlighted cuttingedge advancements in the bioeconomy.
Organized in collaboration with CIPET Ahmedabad, the event fostered meaningful engagement among students, researchers, entrepreneurs, and sustainability advocates from across the region held on 30th August 2025 at CIPET Ahmedabad. Attendees experienced a full day of immersive activities, including:
- A live tour of Bioyug on Wheels that showcased innovative bio-based items made from PLA bioplastics which are 100% compostable
- Live Demonstrations and Expert Q&A sessions with industry leaders
- Interactive Exhibits and hands-on learning opportunities
- Networking Sessions with innovators from academia and industry
- Seminar & Panel Discussion focused on the future of the bioeconomy and sustainable development
The event served as a vibrant confluence of ideas and innovation, providing a unique platform for dialogue, inspiration, and collaboration in support of a more sustainable future. With Balrampur Bioyug's visionary leadership and CIPET's technical expertise, the Ahmedabad edition of "BioYug on Wheels" helped further the national conversation around bioeconomy and environmental stewardship. The conference featured esteemed speakers, including Dr. S. K. Nayak, former Director General of CIPET, and Shri Paritosh Diwasali, Director of CIPET Ahmedabad. Dr. Nayak shared valuable insights on the evolving landscape of bio-based industries in India, emphasizing the critical role of research and policy in scaling sustainable solutions. Shri Diwasali highlighted CIPET's ongoing efforts to promote innovation and skill development in the field of bioplastics. Senior officials from leading companies such as Deltora Biopolymers Pvt. Ltd. and Vision Industries, Ahmedabad also participated, offering industry perspectives on the practical applications and commercial potential of bio-based technologies.
