Lemon Tree Hotels signs a new property in Ranchi, Jharkhand

Lemon Tree Hotels announced its latest signing - Lemon Tree Hotels, Ranchi. The property, which will be franchised by Lemon Tree Hotels Limited, is expected to open in FY25.

Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, India, is a city known for its scenic beauty and tribal heritage. Nestled on the Chota Nagpur plateau, Ranchi has a moderate climate and is nicknamed the "City of Waterfalls" due to several cascading waterbodies within its borders. Once the center of the Jharkhand movement, which fought for a separate state, Ranchi is now a growing metropolis and a hub for industry and education. Ranchi's industrial base is fuelled by its abundant natural resources. Some key industries that Ranchi boasts of are mining and mineral processing, heavy engineering and forest-based industries.

Lemon Tree Hotels, Ranchi will feature 45 well-appointed rooms, a restaurant, a bar, banquet facilities, meeting rooms, a swimming pool, a fitness center and other public areas.

The Birsa Munda airport is about 7 kms from the property, while the Ranchi railway station is about 2 kms away. The hotel is connected by both public and private transport from all major cities in India.

This will be the third upcoming property of Lemon Tree Hotels in the state of Jharkhand. The state has huge potential for growth with several tourist attractions and industries that showcase its historical and religious significance.

Shares of Lemon Tree Hotels Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 133.60 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 128.00. The total number of shares traded during the day was 295951 in over 4566 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 134.90 and intraday low of 128.95. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 39095545.00.
