Lupin Launches Turqoz® Tablets USP in the United States

Global pharma major Lupin Limited (Lupin) today announced the launch of Turqoz® (Norgestrel and Ethinyl Estradiol) Tablets USP, 0.3 mg/0.03 mg, after having received an approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA).

Turqoz® (Norgestrel and Ethinyl Estradiol) Tablets USP, 0.3 mg/0.03 mg is the generic equivalent of Lo/Ovral-28 (Norgestrel and Ethinyl Estradiol) Tablets, 0.3 mg/0.03 mg of Wyeth Pharmaceuticals LLC and is a contraceptive drug indicated to prevent pregnancy.

Norgestrel and Ethinyl Estradiol Tablets USP (RLD: Lo/Ovral-28) had estimated annual sales of USD 33 million in the U.S. (IQVIA MAT October 2023).

Shares of Lupin Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 1296.30 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 1280.90. The total number of shares traded during the day was 67038 in over 4516 trades.
