TRAI levies Rs. 2.81 crore on Bharti Airtel Ltd for failure to curb the UCC

Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has sent a notice to Bharti Airtel Limited levying a financial disincentive of Rs. 2,81,39,000/-.

The order is for failure to curb the Unsolicited Commercial Communications (UCC) sent through Company's network for the complaints as required under the Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations, 2018, for the quarter ended December 2021.

The Company is reviewing the Order and evaluating the next steps in this matter.

Shares of Bharti Airtel Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 919.60 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 912.15. The total number of shares traded during the day was 111817 in over 1405 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 921.00 and intraday low of 907.90. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 102430736.00.
