Grasim Industries Ltd updates on incident at Century Rayon plant, Shahad

Grasim Industries Limited has announced regarding the incident at Century Rayon plant, Shahad ("the plant"). The company has received Order from Department of Industrial Safety & Health, Kalyan (DISH) ("the Order") under the Factories Act, 1948 dated 23rd September 2023 and in accordance with the Order, Carbon Di Sulphide (CS2) refining section of the plant has been closed temporarily and shall be operational after complying the conditions stipulated in the Order.

The Management has initiated the necessary steps to comply with the conditions stipulated in the said Order and further this is not likely to have a material impact on the Company's profitability.

The company regrets that 2 (Two) yet to be accounted persons have been found to be deceased.

Shares of Grasim Industries Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 1911.25 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 1911.60. The total number of shares traded during the day was 12354 in over 1167 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 1928.20 and intraday low of 1888.50. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 23549292.00.
