Wonderla Hyderabad upgrades Solar Power Generation Capacity

Wonderla Holidays Ltd, India's largest amusement park chain upgraded their solar power plant at Hyderabad Park on July 13th, 2022, as a part of their green energy initiative. Mr Rajaram Reddy, DE Operations, TSSPDCL along with Mr. Madhu Sudhan. G, Park Head, Wonderla Hyderabad inaugurated the upgraded solar power energy unit.

Commenting on the initiative, Arun K Chittilappilly, Managing Director Wonderla Holidays Ltd said, "Understanding the power consumption of the business, Wonderla Holidays Ltd. installed solar panels at all the three parks, including the Hyderabad Park in 2016 when it launched. We have added more panels at the Hyderabad Park and with this upgradation, we aim to meet the daily power requirements for Park and Ride Operations through solar energy."

Currently, a total of 2321 solar panels have been installed at the park, thereby reducing the heat inside the building and generating solar energy simultaneously.

Besides the Hyderabad Park, the Bangalore and the Kochi Park generate solar power for daily energy requirements like Ride Operations and Park power requirement.

Shares of Wonderla Holidays Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 221.85 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 222.85. The total number of shares traded during the day was 3144 in over 476 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 225.00 and intraday low of 218.00. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 700900.00.
