Jyoti Ltd has informed BSE that the Company has recently bagged prestigious order for Rs 2550 million, the largest single order in its history and the largest pump order in India, from Hindustan Construction Company Ltd and Nagarjuna Construction Company Ltd Joint Venture (HCC-NCC JV) for design, manufacture, supply, erection, commissioning, operation and maintenance of 14 Nos. Large Pumps for Godavari Lift Irrigation Scheme, Phase II, Andhra Pradesh. The Project is to be commissioned by September, 2007. The project envisages lifting of water from Godavari River near Gangaram Village to Bommakur through seven pumping stations, the distance of about 150 kms., with total lift of approximately 480 metres. The Project consists of 14 Metallic Volute Large Pumps, two Pumps at each pumping station, and allied Electro-Mechanical works. Eight Pumps are of 12.5 MW 7 cumecs discharge capacity, two Pumps are of 4 MW 4.2 cumecs discharge capacity and four Pumps are of 3.5 MW 2.5 cumecs to 3.0 cumecs discharge capacities. The Project envisions supply of 1210 MLD (Million Litres Per Day) water, which is approximately four times the total water consumption of entire Vadodara City, to irrigate 2.85 lac acres of drought prone areas of Jangaon, Ghanpur and Cherial of Warangal District in Andhra Pradesh. On commissioning, the Project will provide immediate relief to drought prone areas of Warangal District in Andhra Pradesh.
