The new discount offer has been launched after the UK announced that the mandatory quarantine for India travellers would be removed for fully vaccinated passengers with Covishield or another UK-approved vaccine starting from 11 October 2021. The new offer is yet another effort undertaken by EaseMyTrip to encourage international travel and support the recovery of the travel and tourism industry which has faced severe disruptions since the onset of the pandemic.
Additionally, the ongoing festive season and the recent announcement of lifting the capacity restrictions will also have a positive impact on the sector. These measures are well-timed and a strong step in boosting the country's travel and tourism sentiments.
Speaking on this unique offer, Nishant Pitti, Co-Founder, EaseMyTrip said, "UK's decision to remove the mandatory quarantine for Indian travellers is a welcome development since it will encourage more Indians to travel to the region. We are already witnessing an increased demand for international travel because of easing restrictions on travel in various countries. Through this initiative, we aim to provide support to our customers who are planning a trip to the UK, which remains one of the most popular international travel destinations for Indians. EaseMyTrip is committed to supporting the safe and strong recovery of the travel and tourism industry."
The new feature is in line with a slew of offers EaseMyTrip has launched this year to revive the travel sector. The most recent initiative launched by the company is the full refund on domestic air ticket cancellation due to medical reasons.
